High prevalence of postpartum psychological problems and lack of specific studies to examine the relationship between postpartum psychological problems and high-risk pregnancies is the motivation for conducting this study. The aim of this study was to examine the prevalence and risk factors of postpartum depression and anxiety subsequent to high-risk pregnancy as well as studying the health of babies born by the mothers of high-risk pregnancies. The study also aimed to identify any possible association between the health condition of the baby and the occurrence of postpartum depression and anxiety.
