Your unlock request was cancelled by the system (reason explained above). You will be issued a refund either in the form of store credit, a cash refund directly to PayPal, or a reversal to the charge on your credit card. The method of refund depending on the situation and how you paid. The refund is automatic, no action is required on your part.
Why was my unlock request cancelled?
This could have happened for a few reasons, including:
• The device is too new and/or in-contract - You may have attempted to use a "Clean" or "Economy" unlock service for a newer device. This type of service is cheaper due the fact that the service only has access to a smaller database of IMEIs, which is updated very slowly, and is often full of older devices. This problem can be fixed by going to https://chronicunlocks.com/ and seeing if there is an "All IMEI" version of the service that you are hoping to use, as those will produce a 100% guaranteed unlock.
• The device is Blocked or Barred - You may have a device that has been blocked by the network which it is locked to. This could happen for different reasons, including having an unpaid balance with the network. This type of issue cannot always be solved, but if you go back to the service page for your network on https://chronicunlocks.com/ and tick the "Blocked" checkbox and then attempt the order, we may be able to take care of your IMEI.
• The device is locked to a different network - You may have accidentally indicated the wrong network when placing the order for your unlock code or service. Methods for unlocking vary between networks, and it is absolutely essential to indicate the correct one.
• The device IMEI is invalid - You may have entered the wrong IMEI for your device in the order page. Please double check your device to ensure that the IMEI is correct.
• The order is suspected to be fraudulent - You may have set off an indicator which caused our fraudulent payment detector to be triggered, or your card company may have contacted us about a "chargeback" (A form of fraud inovlving reversal of funds, mostly due to a stolen credit card number being utilized). It is highly advisable to contact us if this is listed as the reason for your order cancellation, so that the matter can be cleared up and a report to authorities will not be needed, as well as preventing a Block from being done on the requested IMEI.
If relevant, we may be sending you a follow up email about the issue. Otherwise, feel free to get in touch by emailing support@chronicunlocks.com or by simply replying to this message.
