Based on results of the current study, it can be concluded that OCB and CWB are related but separate constructs.
This means that an individual could very well engage in both types of behavior at the same time. Organizations
would need to find a way to encourage their employees to engage in OCB and at the same time to find ways to
stop their employees from engaging in CWB. Organizations could perhaps put in place a mentoring program
where ‘older’ employees can help ‘newer’ employees. Organizations should also find ways to curb CWB, as it
brings no benefit to the organization, but rather cripples the organization.
