PANI–LS. Only after approximately 15 days the first corrosive attack
(red rust) appears on the coatings with 1.5% PANI–LS (PANI–LS1 or
PANI–LS2). The same general remarks apply with regard to the rust
creep from the scribed data (Fig. 8). As a more specific result, the
rust creep is less pronounced in all the systems with PANI pigments
than in the systems without PANI. It can also be seen that the paint
formulated with PANI–LS2 seem to perform slightly better than the
paint with PANI–LS1 in the case of a defective coating (i.e., scribed
samples).
