Research Question
The primary objective of this dissertation was to test 12 sets of hypotheses
stemming from one central research question: For 18- to 34-year-old consumers, is there
a relationship between the preferred mode of delivery for marketing communications and
the factors of the MAS?
Hypotheses
The hypotheses consisted of the following:
Hla: There is a statistically significant relationship between preference for
marketing communications via postal mail and the power-prestige factor of the MAS
among 18- to 34-year-old consumers.
Hlo: There is no statistically significant relationship between preference for
marketing communications via postal mail and the power-prestige factor of the MAS
among 18- to 34-year-old consumers.
H2a: There is a statistically significant relationship between preference for
marketing communications via postal mail and the retention-time factor of the MAS
among 18- to 34-year-old consumers.
H2o: There is no statistically significant relationship between preference for
marketing communications via postal mail and the retention-time factor of the MAS
among 18- to 34-year-old consumers.
H3a: There is a statistically significant relationship between preference for
marketing communications via postal mail and the distrust factor of the MAS among 18
to 34-year-old consumers.
H3o: There is no statistically significant relationship between preference for
marketing communications via postal mail and the distrust factor of the MAS among 18
to 34-year-old consumers.
H4a: There is a statistically significant relationship between preference for
marketing communications via postal mail and the anxiety factor of the MAS among 18
to 34-year-old consumers.
