Leukopenia
Leukopenia is defined as any situation in which the total number of leukocytes (white blood cells) in the circulating blood is less than 5000/mm3. Granulocytes are the cells of the myeloid series and consist of neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils. Neutrophils are the most frequent and most active phagocyte among the various types of white blood cells.
