Social media is growing its dominance as a go to place to share information and voices of digital users, and increasing number of people are influenced by what others say on social media. In particular, 47% of millennials are greatly influenced by social media in their purchases, compared to 19% for all other age groups. Moreover, 74% of consumers rely on social media to direct their purchase decisions. Brands that do not have solid social media strategies will miss a huge opportunity to drive and engage current as well as potential consumers.
