Polar trademark memory watches are used to get the heart rates of the subjects.
Prior to using these watches, referees are informed about their use during short
interviews. HRs measured every 5 seconds during the match are transferred to the
computer via interface and average heart rates are measured separately for each half.
Conconi test protocol beginning with 12 km/h and going on with 0.5 km/h in
every 200 meters are used in order to find anaerobic threshold running speed and
heart rate. During these tests, Polar trademark memory watches recorded HR every
5 seconds. When referees cannot catch the cone signs placed 20 meters in a 100m
running track three consecutive times conformed to the signals coming from the
tape the test is finished. Recorded HRs were transferred to the computer via
interface and anaerobic threshold running speed and HRs are measured in a Conconi
method packet program with a regression curved-line.
