There were a lot of things (Y/N) could do. No matter what planet he was on, no matter which galaxy, his Saiyan blood would follow. Unlike Superman, who was limited to the gravity of Earth and the rays of the sun, (Y/N) had strength no matter where he went. His only weakness were those stronger than him and constantly would he train so that he would be able to surpass them and know that he could finally protect those precious to him with his enormous talent for the martial arts and power.
However he could not stay with those he loved and thought precious to him every single minute of the day. That was the only problem... the only thing that pushed him away from protecting them.
"Alright Raven... where are you?"
(Y/N) closed his eyes and focused on the chi of the citizens below him, as he floated high above their city.
Finally, catching a good sense of where Raven was hiding, (Y/N) narrowed his eyes at a distant building. Raven was in that building and by the looks of it... she might have been in there for a while.
Flying as fast he could, he ends up reaching the building in just a short minute, and he lands in front of it. Upon examination, however, the building looked like a beat up old warehouse stacked upon another warehouse. Why Raven would want to come here of all places, he would never know.
Approaching the door leading inside, he hesitantly reaches for it... but decides against it.
Instead he leans his ear on the window besides it, listening closely.
"He's so gullible..."
"I love you Tomotsu..."
"Haha... very funny..."
"I don't think I could ever really do anything without knowing you weren't there to support me..."
"Oh... (Y/N)? Yeah. If anything I just think of him as a friend... Maybe I should just tell him I don't really like him."
(Y/N) took a step back.
"What the heck?" He whispered to himself. "Was Beast Boy right?"
He didn't want to believe it... however the voices mumbling to each other... it just... It was enough evidence to find out that Raven was actually considering leaving him for someone else. After he had struggled day through day to protect her... take care of her... make her feel loved... this was what he got?
He gritted his teeth together.
The door knob fumbles around and (Y/N) was about to take this sign to retreat but instead finds himself unable to move. Deep down he knew he wanted to see who the person Raven was hanging out with... the person who had convinced Raven that she loved him more than anyone else, even than (Y/N) himself.
"(Y/N)?"
Raven looked at him in shock and horror.
"What are you doing here...?"
"Is someone there Raven?" Another voice called out.
"Don't come out here!" Raven warned. "You don't know what (Y/N) is capable of!"
Raven said that as if she was expecting him to totally mutilate the person she was cheating with on him... and... he sure as hell was tempted to strangle them.
But he wouldn't.
"Raven... you..." He began, unsure what to even say to her. How was he going to confront her about this? He had never even though something like this would ever happen!
"Just... be happy..." Was his only words. He didn't actually want her to be happy. No. He wanted her to be stricken with sorrow and plead for him once more. He wanted her to realize what she would miss, what sort of things could happen without him to be there for her, but instead... he simply...
"I wonder if you were ever worth my time...?" (Y/N) asked, with a cold hard stare.
Those words pierced Raven's heart.
"An unfaithful girlfriend... of course... this is what I get for training so hard just to protect you... but... in a way... maybe I should thank you? I'm almost unstoppable now... few can actually hurt me... let alone scratch me."
He smirked.
"I could kill you right here and you know it... but... unlike you... I'm not a back-stabbing twit. I actually care about other's feelings."
He turned and walked away.
He'd never go back.
She was a thing in the past now.
She made herself like this...
"Maybe I was too selfish to think I could be with her in the first place.
