The purpose of this research was to study the effect of creative art activities by using the philosophy of sufficiency economy towards the science process skills of young children and compare the science process skills of young children before and after learning from the creative art activities which using the philosophy of sufficiency economy. The sample of this study was 30 boys and girls, aged 4-5 years old, kindergarten I students at Ubonwittayakom School, Nai Muang District, under the jurisdiction of Ubon Ratchathani Educational Service Area Office 1 in the second semester of the academic year 2012. The cluster sampling was used to select subjects. The experiment was carried out 40 times within the eight-week week period, 5 days per week, and 40 minutes per day.
The instruments used in this study were the test of the science process skills, the behavioral record, and the rubric scoring for the creative art activities by using the philosophy of sufficiency economy towards the science process skills of young children. The statistics were adopted to analyze the data.
The result revealed that the effect of creative art activities by using the philosophy of sufficiency economy towards the science process skills of young children increased significantly with difference in .05 levels.
