Leaves 15–40×(1.2)1.5–4(4.5) mm, monomorphic, concentrated at the end of the rootstock branches, sublinear to linear-lance-olate, (1)–3-veined, obtuse to subacute, with a narrow scarious
ciliate margin (cilia c. 0.1mm), with white salt crystals scattered on the surface. Involucral sheath 4–9(11)mm.
