Due to Archroma (Thailand) Company Limited has been certified with an Environmental
Management System (ISO14001) and has campaign on energy conservation to use worthy resource
and to reduce impact to environment. Archroma Company has been operated continuously and get
the cooperation of all stakeholders in the organization with the applications in each department, for
example there is a campaign to turn off the lights and turn off air conditioning during lunch break,
the setting standby mode on appliance in office. However, department of control wastewater
treatment systems has use electric power as well. The system requires electrical power 24 hours per
day to feed air into the wastewater treatment system. This causes it make aerator be deteriorate
because there is no time to rest. To extend the lifetime of the aerator and corresponding with the
campaign of the company as well as a study to find ways to support in an emergency situation such
as a power outage or closure to maintenance systems this could affect to microorganisms in system.
As a result in reduced treatment efficiency because they do not know how long the system will stop
working when air cannot be used.
This study is interesting to study period of the system is working and stop working to
control wastewater treatment systems to save energy and interesting to study the timing of recovery
in an emergency situation by system can work without impact on microorganisms and treatment
efficiency of the system to use as a judge in the procedure of emergency response.
