Conclusions
The reactions of P added to these calcareous soils were quite rapid
and water-soluble phosphate was converted to relatively less soluble
compounds within a very short time due to high sorbing capacities of
the soils. The rapid adsorption of P on to particle surfaces is followed
by a slower conversion into less available forms including mineral
phosphates. The time-dependent P desorption trends were satisfactorily
