Heteronuclear Multiple Bond Correlation spectroscopy is a modified version of
HMQC suitable for determining long-range 1H-13C connectivity. This is useful in
determining the structure and 1H and 13C assignments of molecules. Since it is a
long-range chemical shift correlation experiment, HMBC provides basically the
same information as COLOC; however, since it is also an inverse experiment,
HMBC has a higher sensitivity than COLOC.
