The signal intensities of lanthanum obtained by platform vaporization and wall vaporizationfluorination assisted ETV–ICP-MS at different vaporization temperature were compared, it was found that the signal intensity obtained by platform vaporization was always higher than that obtained by wall vaporization when the vaporization temperature was fluctuated in the range of 2400 °C–2700 °C. This result indicated that the use of platform is actually of benefit to increasing the signal intensity of
lanthanum.
