We highly recommend that the arrays drive firmware is upgraded to the latest level on the exposed drives to provide you with the maximum protection available.
· We ask that you please confirm if you are performing the required firmware upgrade or if you would like EMC’s Remote Proactive team to perform the upgrade for you remotely free of charge.
· For arrays that contain the drives affected in this ETA, EMC recommends that no pool expansions or binding of any new LUNs are performed until the drive firmware is updated.
· After updating the drive firmware EMC recommends a waiting period of 12 hours to allow the new firmware to complete its mitigation operations before expanding any pools or binding any new LUNs on any of the newly upgraded disk drives.
