experimental uncertainty, it is clear that the sample distribution is changed
after partial compression and that more than 60% of the mass fraction is in
the 5–10 mm size interval, regardless of the brand. This result suggests that
during partial compression (force < 100 N), larger flakes (>10 mm) are broken
into smaller pieces, mostly of immediately lower size, and that this effect was
more significant for samples H and L.
