World Vision Foundation of Thailand (WVFT) is a non-profit, Christian organization, dedicated to transformational development of children, families and communities. It was founded in 1974, and is currently supporting children, families and community development in 46 provinces in Thailand.
We are currently looking for a National Advocacy Coordinator to lead advocacy strategic development and implementation in order to bring about changes in unjust policies and practices, attitudes and behaviour that negatively impact on children and their community.
The National Advocacy Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and serves as focal point for engagement with key policy makers, partners and audiences to enhance World Vision’s credibility and influence change of policy and practice. Moreover, your role is to support the mainstreaming of advocacy through contextualization and integration with other departments in agreed areas of the national program and build capacity among programme staff to integrate advocacy into programmatic work.
Consequently, we need a graduate calibre professional with excellent communication skills (in English and Thai) substantial experience of government and public policy issues, institutions and decision-making processes on a national level. Your networking and negotiating skills will be second to none and you will be familiar with coalition work and have significant experience of working within multi-agency forums.
