RMS has been enhanced to allow prepack codes to be customisable. A new
system configuration parameter, ic_pre_pack_set_ref, has been added to RMS.
When this config is set to N (or not set), the system will continue to operate on
normal mode eg: provide the user with P001 pack codes.
When this config is set to Y, users will be able to enter the prepack ref, up to a
maximum of three characters, on the Item Registration window or Purchase
Order window when creating a new prepack record. Also this config is set to Y
and a prepack is created based on a standard prepack, the new prepack will have
its prepack ref defaulted to the standard prepack code it was based on, although
this can then be changed prior to updating the new record.
When this config is set to Y, users will also only be able to create standard
prepacks with codes of three characters or less.
For more information about the ic_pre_pack_set_ref system configuration, refer
to the Deployment Notes for this release.
