The Cabinet Tuesday promoted Deputy Royal Irrigation Department Director General Suthep Noiphairoj as the new director general.

The Cabinet also appointed five new inspector-generals of the Agriculture Ministry.

The five are Wimolporn Thitisak, now deputy chief of the Livestock Department, Sudarat Watcharakupt Laowitchaya, deputy chief of the Queen Sirikit Department of Sericulture, Surapol Jarupong, deputy chief of the Agricultural Promotion Department, Kulrat Ananpongsuk, deputy chief of the Land Development Department and Naruemol Panawong, deputy chief of the Cooperative Auditing Department.
