The biodegradability of the chemical SACs and the
bioemulsifier produced by Paenibacillus sp. #510 was
assessed by liquid respirometric assays. COD and BOD
provide information on the amount of oxygen necessary
to degrade a compound through chemical or biological
pathways, respectively.
