Thanks for your explain. As you know Hal Leonard do not take returns other than defective items; and since this is not defective items, we can’t give you credit either.
I will offer you $200 out of this $800 for backlist, but the rest $600 has to be new products. And as I said in the previous email, you can also divide it into a whole year, so you can get free new products for the whole year of 2015, maybe you will be able to find a lot of new popular products that you have never ordered before.
For the “new products”, I can also agree to go back to Oct 2014, which is 6 months back.

I am sorry for confusion and to be clear, please read and check whether my understanding is right
- We do not have to return the products, just destroy them.
- The products that will be returned/destroyed are the products we ordered within the past 18 months and the total has to be under 800 USD.
- You will send free products in the equal value (800 USD) and the value on the invoice will show 0 USD, but we have to pay for the shipping cost.
I would like you to consider our requests below as well.
- For the free products under 800 USD, we would like to pick both new and old titles (for old titles, I mean the ones we regularly order and order with you). If you agree with this request, we can send the list to you to consider first. Kindly let us know.
- Another choice, is it possible to give us credit (800 USD) instead of sending free products? As you know that, we have a long relationship and we frequently order with you. Besides, it will convenient for our both side for this onetime offer.

Anyway, our staff is preparing the list, but is it possible to combine backlist and frontlist in this budget? I think that it will be great for both side that we will do it in one shot (you send free products and we send the COD). Kindly note that we will really appreciate for your support if you allow to choose both old and new titles.
Besides, could you please send us the product lists which you have published in the last 3 months to review? Having the list will be easier for us.
By the way, I have inquiry from our logistic center about the invoice of free products. Do you have any sample? Kindly provide if you have.

Regards to what products to pick from, I suggest we divide $800USD to $200 USD per quarter, so every quarter you can get new products. Or we can do $400 now, and $400 in summer 2015, so for the first $400 USD worth of products you can pick from the new products from Sep 2014. I think this might be a better way, so you can get some new products for review, and also expand the products that you keep in stock. The free products will be sent with your regular order, and you are responsible for the shipping cost.

Speaking of counting the products that we ordered in the past 18 months, do you mean the total net cost that we can destroy the products is not over than 800 USD? Kindly confirm.
For picking equal value, is it possible to select your new products you published in the past 6 months? This is because we have just ordered new titles and have sent PO#NP1501046 on Wednesday 14th January 2015. Or select your products you published in the past 3 months plus your recommended titles that we have never ordered? Kindly consider and let us know.

It is very nice to hear from you.
For other publishers return policy are 10% return allowance from previous sales figure, and send only COD (certificate of destruction).
As we know high freight cost, so most publishers prefer us to send the COD. Anyway, before send publisher the COD, we will send
them the book list for approval.
We do not have return book list now, because from our return process that we have to request return allowance from publisher
before instruct our store side to pick up books from the shelves. But we still have unsalable on the shelves, it will be better that
to replace unsalable item with new refresh titles.
