Application procedures
Exchange students complete an online application in Mobility online. Once we have received nominations from our partner universities, we will send the link to the online application by e-mail to the nominated students. Paper applications will not be considered. Official transcripts of university records and their English translations and a soft copy of the applicant's photo are to be delivered online.
Students of architecture
Please note that the School of Architecture has limited resources accepting exchange students. If the number of applications exceeds the number of exchange places, applicants are ranked by their portfolios. The School of Architecture offers courses in English almost exclusively on master level. Applicants should therefore preferably have completed their bachelor degree (or be at least in their 4th year of study) when starting their exchange study period at TUT.
Students of architecture are also required to attach a portfolio (pdf) to the online application. The portfolio should give a clear and concise summary of the student’s skills. Portfolio should start with the most recent project and make sure to include projects in a variety of scales, preferably from urban planning or design to architectural details. Building design projects should have clear plans and sections in addition to perspectives or other visualizations. The portfolio layout should be legible on most common computer screens.
