Commissioning styrene monomer will starts where system piping of ensure don’t leaked.
4. Responsibilities
In the Script the Commissioning, Operational, Maintenance activities will be described, together with discipline.
5. Safety Precautions
High toxic of styrene monomer may be able to leak or spillage out of the pipe to floor may injure people and slippery. Therefore all flush points must be closed or flush to save location and where applicable, safe entry needs to be arranged inline with company and governmental rules and laws.
All tasks pending in PSSR must be completed.
6. General Description
Styrene monomer will be unloading by pump P310 at unloading to T304 and feed to T205 and T105 by P304

• PSV308 function check and maximum pressure set point
• Reinstate line and equipment
• Loop3 (N2-Blanked to T304)
• During commissioning keep same status as on other monomer tank. Observe inhibitor content and plan to put blind space disconnect N-25-CS Nitrogen 95%.Do when normal operation, if need.PSV320 (+10, -5 mmbar)
• Ensure frame arrestor need to be in place at atmosphere vent, already exiting on top T304. (PSV353)
• Loop4 (Vent Line from T304 to Tank Car) MDN-50-SS
• Visual monitoring block need to be in place
• Disconnect flank at top T304 , put blind space
• Plant air applicable, keep pressure 3 bar , maintain at less 2 hour. Check pressure drop , -0.5 bar deviate is acceptable
• Loop 5 (Unloading Line to T304) MDN-50-SS
• Plant air applicable inside , keep pressure 3 bar , 5 hour
• Check pressure drop at the end, deviate -0.5 bar is
acceptable.
• Check valve check direction is correct
• Reinstate line and equipment
• Ensure unloading line separate from other monomer
• Loop6 (Feeding line P304 CV337 F304T304) MDN-50-SS
• Put blind space at discharge side P304
• Put blind space at CV338
• Put blind space at top T304
• Plant air applicable inside, keep pressure 3 bar , minimum 5 hour.
• Reinstate line and equipment
• Loop7(F304 to Head Tank T105 , T205)
• Disconnect FT304 open FV324 , CV320 , CV321
• Put blind space at top T105 and T205
• Plant air application inside, keep pressure 3 bar , minimum 5 hour.
• Check pressure drop at the end, deviate -0.5 bar is acceptable.
• Reinstate line and equipment
• Total reinstate inspection
• Ensure all loop when finished reinstate all flank , gasket and bolt are fix properly tight
• Gasket type Teflon is require
• Check vale reinstate direction correct
• Control valve , on-off valve reinstate correct
• All valve are close
• Steiner inside with filter
• Clean inside T304 without water
Step 2:Chiller
• Function test WS_17_02 , WS_17_01 are capability to operate.
• V_17_01 water keep level 80%
• First start WS_17_02 , set point at chiller 15๐C
• Circulate WS_17_02 , record actual temperature
• Second start WS_17_02
• Combine circulate with WS_17_01 maintain Set point 15๐C, record actual temperature
• Check loop line at TIE IN POINT of chiller to E310 (Chiller Plate)
• Line up and check all manual valve are correct position
• Circulate chill water to E310
• Check actual temperature are stable at 15๐C
• Step 3:Styrene unloading
• Before start styrene commissioning activity , require sand or absorbent in place : feeding station room at tank farm , unloading station , production building 4th floor
• Check inside T304 is cleaned without dust particle.
• Check all end flank , manhole T304 are closed
• Due to commissioning test N2 common line need to be in place for safe condition
• Styrene tank car connect to unloading line
• First unloading 5 MT to T304
• Record temperature TE308 every 30 min
• Apply chill water to E310 and check leak at E310
• Start circulate T304 in manual mode if manual mode stable then test control loop automatic sequence
• Check sample ; Clarity and impurity , moisture content , if good top up 4 mt. , if no good recirculate with strainer (Bag filter) until clean , if finally no good dump it to drum.
• In normal status minimum volume need to be touch TE308 (12 m3 base on PLC stock)
Step 4 :Circulate Styrene T304-F304-T304
• Line up circulation line, all valve manual vale, on-off vale, control valve are in correct position.
