The interval sampled is from 110.3’-270.2’ (33.62-82.36 m). Three barren zones were
noted from 125.3’-126.2’ (38.2-38.5m), 149.5’-161.5’ (45.57-49.23m), and 231.2’-240.4’
(70.47-73.27m). Marker taxa are scarce in the lowermost interval from 148.7’-270.2’, however,
the presence of Delphineis ovata, Sceptroneis grandis, Raphoneis margaritata, and Sceptroneis
caduceus place it in ECDZ 2. A single occurrence of Actinoptychus heliopelta has been
attributed to reworking. ECDZ 1 was not present in this section, and further sampling would be
needed to determine the extent of it in the Cam-Dor core. Unfortunately, time constraints
prevented sampling at greater depths.
