The drivers are used to generate the power signals for
the step motors, the frequency of pulses are calculated by
an algorithm running on the microprocessor. The
motor’s torque is then converted to linear force by a rack
and pinion. Such thing allows having a resolution of
0.25mm for each axis. The microprocessor’s Ethernet
connectivity and the embedded web server allow
realizing a user interface by means of a http server,
accessible through a web browser.
