Dear Koi,
Assuming that your Google translator is working good I will reply in English.
I live near the city of Calgary in the province of Alberta Canada and even though my house is not very far from the downtown of Calgary, it takes about 1 hour to get to the downtown. Calgary is a very modern city but has bad traffic as there are a lot of cars here. Right now I am working from my home as I am just doing some consulting and doing exercises for my legs. Although I had surgery on my back it is my left leg that has pain and not my back. But I am slowly getting better and am walking more each day.
When I was young I lived on a farm. So I know all about agriculture. After I went to university I moved to Alberta and worked in the oil and gas business and then the fertilizer business. My father was a farmer but he is deceased now for many year. My mother still lives on the farm and was just a housewife. I have two older sisters. One is a teacher and lives in Vancouver Canada and the other is an accountant and lives in Auckland New Zealand.
My children are all older. I have been divorced for many years and my children lived with their mother when they were young. So I did not see them very often. When I moved permanently back to Canada in 2009 from a work assignment in Argentina, two of my daughters decided to come live with me and one still does as she only has two part time jobs and does not make enough money to live by herself.
I have not remarried because like you I want to find the correct partner for me for the rest of my life and do not want to get divorced again. I have had several girlfriends since I was divorced but have not been convinced that they were life time partners. Yes it is important that when two people are together that they are happy and both are getting what they need out of the relationship.
I am not sure that I would say that my character is one of being very generous! I am very fair and even handed and I would say confident in my abilities as a person to be able to manage in all kinds of circumstances. I am very well educated and have a lot of different work experiences. Almost everyone would say I am very professional and very knowledgable. But maybe not so skilled when it comes to finding the correct woman for me? ha ha
I have been to ruins of Ayuthhaya so I have an idea of where you live. I have also been many times to Pattaya, but not to Koh Chang. I have played golf many times at the Phoenix golf course in Pattaya and at the Siam Country Club.
I would like to know what your bachelors degree is in? Do you play much sports? Do you like to travel? I still have many places that I want to visit in the World.
Do you know anything about Canada? My idea when I finally quit working is to have a house in the Southern Hemispehe (e.g. Thailand), and one in Canada. So spend 1/2 the year in both places. I assume you are not able to relocate because you need to be close to your son?
Right now it is very cold out, but I must go to the see my doctor. Picture from today, and one from Bridge at River Kuai a few years ago.
Best regards, Fred.
Thank you for the photos. You are very beautiful.
I am a mechanical engineer. I worked for many years in the oil and gas business and fertilizer (petrochemical), mainly as a manager or senior manager. I have traveled extensively on business and worked in Argentina for many years. For the past 4 months I have been providing consulting services via my own company as the oil and gas business I was working in was broken up and sold. I have decided to look again for a permanent job with a large company as I am not sure I will have enough work as a consultant to keep me busy.
As I said before, I have traveled to Thailand many times. In fact I was just in Thailand and the Philippines in Sept. Unfortunately I had a problem with my back golfing at Leam Cha Bang, and I had to have an emergency operation in Bangkok on my back. At the Samitivej Suhkumvit Hospital. I came back to Calgary in Oct and am still recovering but hope to be more or less fully back to normal in a month or so.
My children are all older, but one is still living in my house as she does not have a permanent job yet.
I am looking for a person who is honest, responsible, hard working, likes to travel, and resolves conflicts in a fair and rational manner. I have only been on this web site for a couple of months, but I am not sure about meeting people through e-dating services. For me I need to be with a person for some time to really understand what they are like. Especially to see them in times of stress. What do you think?
What do you really want from your future partner?
