CaSiO3, Si4+ ions are positioned at the center of a cube, O2 ions are
positioned at six-face centers of the cube and Ca2+ ions are positioned
at the eight apex angles of the cube. Octahedrons were
made up of Si4+ ions and the nearest neighbor O2 ions and the
coordination number are six. Icosahedrons are made up of Ca2+
ions and the nearest neighbor O2 ions and the coordination number
are twelve. The coordination numbers of both Si4+ ions and Ca2+
ions are eight [14]. The structure of the crystal remains unaltered
even after doping the Eu3+ ions and Bi3+ ions as the doping content
is small.
