Integration and Alignment in GAC
There are two terms used in conjunction with the GAC Organisation – Integration and Alignment.
Integration means that we look at the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. We are one unified GAC Group that comprises many parts (or Operating Companies) and being integrated means that we share the same DNA or corporate culture – the GAC Spirit. GAC-2-GAC or (G2G) allows us to easily engage with GAC people across the GAC Group to find solutions (not problems) and produce outcomes that drive our business forward. This means that we are not "penny-wise - pound-foolish", we see the bigger good of the business we do. Integration means we have an open learning culture, that values shared expertise within and across different parts of the business.
Alignment means that we share the same strategy – we all pull together in the same direction. Our Vision Z – Global Performance (VZ-GP) strategy provides the strategic direction for the GAC Group, and each Region develops its strategy on these well-founded strategic objectives. Each Operating Company translates this into meaningful business outcomes, and embraces the "GAC Way" of doing business. We use GAC TIME as our management system, and use GAC Business Applications to their full extent. We look for reasons why things can happen to align with GAC Way, and empower our people to be part of the solution. It's no good complaining about something if you don't have a solution or something constructive that you can add.
