This value is higher than those
reported for steam/KOH activated fir woods or pistachio based carbons,
which are between 0.70 and 0.94 (Wu et al., 2005). Likewise,
the average pore diameter of activated carbonised macadamia
shells is between 1.77 and 2.41 nm (see Table 2), which is generally
smaller than those of steam/KOH activated fir woods or pistachio
based carbons that are between 2.20 and 2.90 nm (Wu et al., 2005).
