This studyinvestigatedheavymetalconcentrationsinwater,
sediments, P. canaliculata and I. aquatica in theBeungBoraphet
tributaries,andassessedthepotentialoftheabovetwospeciesas
biomonitorsofsedimentarymetal contamination.Inaddition,the
suitabilityof P. canaliculata for sedimenttoxicitytestingandforuse
in standardizedroutineenvironmentalriskmonitoringwasassessed.
