Seacon Square is the biggest well-known shopping mall in suburb area of west Bangkok which have opened since 20 years ago. The old fashion mall with large façade more than 500 meters need to be brushed up and recreate new look. Now this suburb mall become a city mall cause of the rapid development of Bangkok.
The architect intend to erase old image of the project by redesign a new façade that more inter-active with colorful wall pixels and modern glass curtain wall which hung on the existing wall. Random colorful pixels start from one side to another side of façade has created a sense of amusement and lively movement. It would attract customers easily from the main street. And it’s totally changed the perception of customers to a new rebranding mall.
LED lighting has lit up the exiting mood at the night time and also create a festival theme for any celebration time.
As such a large façade, architect focus to design each entrance and keep continuity with color pixels that spread all over the front elevation. Of cause, the main central entrance is emphasized with a large glass canopy and frame of color perforated steel pixels to welcome everyone. You will see the playful fountain in front of the main entrance plaza that emerge from the ground.
