The school had promoted internal and external communication For example with parents and companies. Information and Communication Technology seemed to have created new opportunities for communication and collaboration,but the most important component appears to have been a school's vision of its task.
School G had taken information and media literacy as a key tool for co-operation between the school and parents. It held the so-called "bridge-building" school-home evenings for the parents of first graders in which the children's use of the web was discussed. The teachers had previously participated in "safer Usc of Internet" courses which were provided by a national child welfare organization dealing with safety issues of web use. The school also experimented with digitalized notes and text messages written by teachers to parents through the learning platform.
