All samples were
inoculated with 1% (v v1) of starter culture (OD600 ¼ 1.0) grown in
Luria Broth (LB) medium (10 g L1 tryptone, 5 g L1 yeast extract,
10 g L1 NaCl). Before inoculation, the starter culture was centrifuged
(13,000 rpm, 10 min, 4 C) and washed twice in physiological
salt solution to prevent the transfer of the organic compounds of LB
into the fresh media
