Kanchanaphisek Park is located just beyond Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat. It is spread over an area of 40 acres and it was built to mark the 50th anniversary of the accession of the throne by King Bhumibol. The park was built by the Treasury Department.
The park has beautiful collection of water plants, garden plants and marine animals. There is a royal landing area near the reception pavilion, which is walk-through pavilion having a four-corned tiered roof. The reception pavilion is surrounded by three traditional wooden pavilions which are carved. These pavilions are made from teak and are decorated with real gold leaves and colorful glass. Near the pavilions, you can see Thai houses built from teak in noble Thai style of architecture.
You can also see the residence of the former Nonthaburi governor, which is the entry to fruit farms where you can get delicious mangosteen, jackfruit and sweet coconut.
