An additional product fragment at m/z 425 was
registered for peak 16, corresponding to a loss of ring B of the ion
fragment at m/z 577 via RDA fission. Among the trimers, peaks 7 and 11 were tentatively assigned as procyanidin [C-(4a-8)-C-
(4a-8)-C] (C2) and [EC-(4b-8)-EC-(4b-8)-C], as the first of them
was also the first procyanidin in the chromatogram, eluting
just before procyanidin B3 and the second, eluted among the
catechin and the procyanidin B4, coinciding completely to those
identified by Escribano-Bailo´n et al.
