Cindy Garcia is very bullish on the management of La Posta as well as the firm’s long-term growth and profits prospects. However, her pro forma financial analysis indicates that La Posta is having some difficulty “digesting” the recent purchase of the twenty Taco Amigo restaurants. Her estimates indicate that EPS growth would be slowed by a combination of higher training costs to integrate the new employees of Taco Amigo and slower than expected sales at existing Taco Amigo locations at least relative of La Posta stores. She estimates that these factors would slow La Posta’s earning growth for the next three quarters.
