This BMS programme is designed to give students more than just a standard commerce degree. It is the focus on general management that makes this degree stand out. This programme involves predicting the future – working out what people will want from their leisure and travel pursuits and how those wants are implemented and managed. Students will study the structure of tourism organisations, aspects of hospitality and leisure and the environmental and economic impacts of tourism operations. Career opportunities available are environmental planner, hotel and resort manager, outdoor leisure manager, regional or national tourism planner, or tourism operations manager.
