Leaf size and shape:
While many growers do not pay attention to the
leaves of radish, uniformity and quality of leaf in
a radish variety tends to make more attractive
bunches. Radish tops can range from 4 to 8” tall
in both round and icicle types (even taller in
winter types) so it is important that selection for
height be done routinely. Radish tops can also
vary between strap leaf and the lobed, cut leaf
forms.
