The actual ploughing starts with the sacred bulls drawing a red and gold plough turning a few furrows. The Lord of the Festival then scatters rice seeds over the newly - turned earth. After that, the sacred bulls choose seven different foods and drinks- rice, beans , maize , hay, sesame, water and liquor. Whichever the bulls choose is a prediction of the abundance of agricultural products and trade for the coming year. At the end of the ceremony, people gather the precious rice seeds to ensure a good crop in the next year.
