In figurative terms, Law and Callon offered us a picture of a successful project as an hourglass; the bulbs of global
and local networks linked by a narrow choke point through which resources and deliverables pass. But ANT allows for
alternative figurations that would produce different insights. The project could be conceived as a circle (a single network)
or circles (main vs counter networks) in which actors are enrolled and mobilised regardless of their particular
relation to the project.
