Emergency Operations Centers
Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) are designed to facilitate cross-agency collaboration and communication to improve a city’s ability to safeguard the community and ultimately enhance public safety and security. Law enforcement, public safety, and private partners can pool resources to improve situation management, improve response times, and reduce risk. A police officer, firefighter, or building inspector has one central hub for information – a jurisdiction’s EOC.
Challenges:
Sharing information across jurisdictions and organizations
Providing responders with critical information and visuals prior to arriving on site
Ensuring the right resources are at the scene
Improving safety with a limited technology budget
The VidSys PSIM software platform
The VidSys Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software platform helps facilitate security as well as smooth operations at Emergency Operations Centers by:
Facilitating collaboration and information sharing via one common operating picture across jurisdictions and agencies.
Providing Emergency Operations Center leaders with the ability to identify hot spots and prioritize resources.
Enabling real-time, shared situation visibility.
Reducing equipment costs and extends the value of existing investments by allowing assets to be shared across governing agencies.
