By chance, this positive band was taken erroneously by Scott
and Wrixon [56] as p to p* transition, which followed the octant
rule. However, limonene follows an anti-octant rule, and Brint et al.
[57] mention two other cases of this behaviour. Generally, the
octant rule should not be applied any more for configurational
