Step 3: Identify the Constraints
Constraints are those restrictions that must be satisfied for the
values of the variables to be acceptable.
To identify the constraints, look at the objective function:
Maximize 6F1 + 2F2 + 3F3 + 4F4
and ask what values you would like to make the variables if you
had no constraints: make each variable .
Question: What prevents you from doing so?
Answer: Limited resources.
Note: When answering this question, the technique of grouping is used to identify groups of constraints.
