Feminist responses to HLP report on the post-2015 Development Agenda
The High Level Panel (HLP) of Eminent Persons on the Post-2015 Development Agenda released its report on 30 May 2013. The Report sets out 12 universal goals with 52 targets aimed at “ending poverty in all its forms.” While feminist groups welcome a stand-alone and expanded gender equality goal and a specific target of sexual and reproductive health and rights in the Report, they released their responses to the HLP Report by calling for stronger emphasis on the importance of human rights in sustainable development processes.
