The evaluation aimed at discovering possible usability
problems, measuring the performance of TPs and
collecting qualitative behavioral information. The evaluation
experiment was established upon a series of
research questions regarding the prototype functionality
and its impact on users’ interactions and performance.
Based on those questions, a series of task
scenarios was prepared, one for each identified orientation/navigation
task (see Figure 5), concerning navigating
from a starting point to an unfamiliar
destination. These were broken down to sub-tasks, to
assess the familiarity of the TPs with the prototype
functions and its support in orientating and understanding
the surroundings.
