The premise of this game, traditionally played in the Himalayan country of Bhutan, is pretty simple. Flat, discus-like stones are hurled towards a peg in the ground, a bit like the (equally-odd) game of horseshoes. Confusingly, degor can be played individually, or in teams, but there’s no rule as to how many players are allowed on each team. Similarly, there’s no fixed score at which the game ends. Weirdest of all, though, is how points are awarded – the distance between the stone and the peg must be less than that of the thumb and middle finger of an outstretched palm. Yep, we’re lost, as well.
