Purpose : To ensure that the procedure and administration of payroll and
benefits are followed effectively and accurately for those who
transfer with in the Centara Hotels and Resorts.
Procedure:
1. Minimum Standard :
1.1 An employee should be transferred because of one of the following reasons
Career growth with better position
Promotion
Family relocation
Recommended by General Manager, Director of Operations and Vice
President Human Resources.
1.2 The employee must complete at least 1 year of service with the current
position.
1.3 The following qualifications must be met to be considered for transfer :
PA total score should be excellent.
English Skills per job competency.
Training record up to standard and requirement
Attendance good record of attendance
Discipline no warning
1.4 The necessary form must be completed and the to-be-transferred associates
have to accept all preceding conditions, regulation and employment status.
1.5 The transfer can only be done when the two sides have agreed, approved and
acknowledged by the CHR Office.
1.6 The approvals are from both sending and receiving General Manager, Vice
President Human Resources and Director of Operations.
2. Procedure of Selection
2.1 There must be a personnel requisition and internal job search posted.
2.2 An interested associate completes a Transfer Request Form to be approved by
his/her manager.
2.3 A proper interviewing process is required.
2.4 Commitment and package are confirmed once to the candidate’s approvals
from both sides are granted.
3. Terms and Conditions
3.1 All transfers should be effective on the 1st each month.
3.2 If the transfer is feasible and approved, the to-be-transferred employees will have
to clear all outstanding matters before transfer such as :
Outstanding vacation and leave (may be settled if the transfer is requested by
the company).
Loan, any outstanding reimbursement, payment such as overtime, shift and
other.
Any damages caused and to be paid by the employees.
Uniform rental.
Transportation.
Outstanding assignment or job.
Service charge payment will be pro-rated.
All company assets.
3.3 The to-be-transferred employees have to resign from the sending hotels
3.4 The service year is continued and the following benefits pertaining to the job and
title will be continued :
Provident Fund. (if applicable)
Vacation Days.
Service Charge Scheme.
3.5 Job Offer Letter is issued for employees’ acceptance and the employees provides
update-hiring documents for file
3.6 Other benefits will be according to the Benefit scheme of the receiving hotel.
3.7 Hand-over Program, the following tasks need to be completed before transfer
takes place :
List of outstanding tasks or assignments with progressive and status reports.
If relevant : list and details of filing system
Name & contact address of clients, the employees have dealt with.
Follow up process.
