The proportions of self-reported tobacco, illicit drug and
alcohol use, and engagement in sexual behaviors for survivor
and sibling groups are reported in Tables II and III. As
can be seen in these tables, comparisons between groups
identified few differences among survivors and siblings
with respect to prevalence rates of risky health behaviors.
Moreover, when continuous data were used to make
age-adjusted comparisons between survivor and sibling
groups in regard to tobacco, drug, alcohol, and sexual behavior
variables (ranging from 1 ‘‘never’’ use to 5, use ‘‘in
the past week’’), no significant differences were identified.
