In this paper, we have proposed a SaaS framework and its
architecture for Library Application with Augmented Reality
Concept. A methodology for the same is also designed and the
interface developed has been simulated. The simulation study
has been made in different areas like image capturing and
analysis, OCR conversion, line and edge detection and open
book api’s for getting the metadata. The open source API’s has
been chosen to build the software and the feasibility has been
ensured. This can be extended to any pattern based augmented
reality or the scripting based augmented reality applications. In
our future work, we aim to include security in our proposed
architecture and the performance of the proposed architecture
will be evaluated using MATLAB simulator.
